The South End Global Youth Leadership and Empowerment Program Scholars Initiative

Introduction:

The Long, Myers, and Williams Group, Inc. (LMW Group) is an NFP organization founded by African American educators to assist the increasing of educational, career opportunities, and maximizing underrepresented minority communities’ importance within global environments.

The South End Global Youth Leadership and Empowerment Program Scholars Initiative was developed as a mentoring and culturally affirming program and serve the communities of Southeast Cook County (Burnham, Calumet City, Lansing, Lynwood, and South Holland) and Will County (Joliet, Illinois).

LMW’s approach to serving the at-risk youth in these areas is addressed by our mentoring, coupled with leadership training, the improvement of positive attitudes, and motivation toward self-worth and academic achievement. Our program utilizes evaluation tools to access the youth readiness byway of state performance surveys, or participants being able to benefit from the program, documentation, and the tracking of youth programmatic activities.

LMW Group research has found few enterprises address community-based organizations or the Human Development and Capital needs of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). LMW is dedicated to identifying and serving the administrative, faculty, staff, and student human development capital needs of its program participants. Our objective is to render those services that enable the successful growth of our youth and provide interactive communications with all interested parties of the institutions we help. Consequently, LMW has been created as a firm that transact business especially with HBUC’s administration, professors, and staff members seeking to fulfill the needs presented by the absence of other human development and capital concerns. LMW is further dedicated to identifying and serving the objectives and goals to render those services that enable the successful growth of our youth participation and provide interactive programing and communications with all stakeholders we interact with.
